Duty of Care

Duty of Care is a law which means we must not do things that could cause harm to another person. If we become concerned about your safety (or anyone else’s) during a phone call, or because of the contents of an email, we will always do our best to make sure you and/or others are safe. This might mean breaching your privacy and confidentiality and passing on information you have given us about yourself and others to authorities such as the police or other emergency services. If we can, we will always let you know when we have concerns and when we feel we need to breach confidentiality.

It takes courage to change. Remember you are not alone & other young people have been in your shoes.
