Making a decision to change or not can be a difficult one. Using simple tools and asking key questions can help you come to the right decision for you.

So you reckon you might want to make some changes to your use? What would that be like? Would all your problems go away? What would be easy to change? What would be hard? What type of changes do you want to make?

Think carefully about these five questions.

  • Why would you want to make this change?
  • If you did decide to do it, how might you go about it?
  • What are the three best reasons for you to make this change?
  • On a scale of zero to ten how important is it for you to make this change? Why are you at that number and not a zero?
  • So what do you think you will do?

Deciding whether to make changes or not based on questions like this can help you make the decision that is right for you.

Tools don’t make decisions for you but can help you get it all out in front of you.

Most importantly, no matter what you do, even if you decide not to make changes to your use right now no decision is more “right” than another and there are always things you can do to be as safe as you can.
