New YoDAA Ice resources
The amount of information about ice at the moment can be overwhelming-even for experienced workers. In light of this we have responded to workers who have asked us for the most important info in digestible, easy to read chunks.
So we have produced three new articles for workers to get the core info they need. "How does ice work" is about the actual substance and how it works in the brain and body. "Top tips for working with young people using meth" explains why specific strategies need to be considered when supporting a young person using ice. “Is it the power of ice that causes all the problems” is information that asks you to look beyond the fever-pitch, drug specific info and to think critically about drug problems and the needs of young people you support.
We’ve also produced similar info for families and carers as well as young people so you can provide specific tailored info and resources for people you are supporting.
Here they are:
- Understanding ice (for families)
- Tips for supporting a young person using ice (for families)
- Is it the power of ice that causes all the problems (for families)
- Understanding ice (for young people)
